Formed in 2024, the Tom Jiggins Quintet is a dynamic and expressive ensemble that brings a fresh perspective to the modern jazz scene. Led by drummer, composer and bandleader Tom Jiggins, the group performs a compelling blend of original compositions and inventive arrangements of standards. Drawing inspiration from the golden era of small-group jazz, their repertoire pays homage to the iconic sounds of The Horace Silver Quintet, The Cannonball Adderley Quintet, and The J.J. Johnson Quintet while firmly carving out a voice of their own.

Currently active on the UK jazz circuit paying homage to the Charles Mingus iconic album, 'Ah Um', the quintet has been captivating audiences with performances that highlight their tight interplay, rich harmonic textures, and infectious energy. The ensemble features long-time musical collaborators, each bringing their own artistry and depth to the project and music. After years of musical development and shared performance experience, the formation of this quintet marks an exciting new chapter—one where Tom’s compositions are fully realised with a group of musicians uniquely attuned to his artistic vision.
