PIANO LESSONS
I provide piano lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. Whether you are preparing for advanced examinations such as Grade 8 or wish to develop your ability to play for personal enjoyment, our instruction is tailored to your individual goals. Lessons encompass a broad repertoire, including classical, jazz, and contemporary popular music.
DRUM LESSONS
I provide drum tuition for students from complete beginners to advanced players, across a wide range of musical genres. Lessons are designed to develop all aspects of drumming, with a focus on technique, improvisation, and musical expression. For students pursuing formal qualifications, I also offer guidance through a variety of recognized examination syllabuses.
MUSIC THEORY
Holding both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in music, I offer in-depth music theory tuition tailored to each student’s goals. Whether you are preparing for formal theory examinations or seeking to enhance your understanding of harmony, analysis, and musical structure, lessons are designed to provide a thorough and engaging learning experience. Topics may range from chord symbols and functional harmony to the study of Bach chorales and advanced analytical techniques.
COMPOSITION & ARRANGING | JAZZ SPECIALISMS
For students wishing to deepen their jazz expertise, I offer individualized lessons in improvisation, composition, and arranging. Sessions may include the analysis of classic solos, the creation of lead sheets, and arranging for both small ensembles and big bands. Lessons also incorporate the study of jazz history, providing a comprehensive understanding of styles from early jazz to contemporary and improvised music.
